I succumbed to the inline itch again. I have an old Knight .54 coming my way. Heck I'm not even sure if its a #11 or 209 ignition system (with red primer jackets). But the rifle looks to be pristine.
Does anyone recall what twist rate was on these old Knights and what the going price is?

Well fellas, he's out of control. This is what is called a boredom purchase. :s2: You know darn well he didn't need that gun. If he doesn't return home soon we'll likely be seeing a picture of some old rusty cap & ball revolver he found in the back room of a pawn shop that just couldn't be passed up.

At least we should be seeing some shooting reports in the future.

Bronco's bug will take a lot of curing. I had it once bad myself. But have behaved. As for that rifle, depending on the age of the rifle, normally it will tell you on the barrel what model it is. I would guess it has a 1-28 twist.

As for going price, I bought them as low as $75.00 and new as high as $149.00 for the LK model rifles.

Well then I guess the $50 tag wasn't too bad. Of course I have to pay for shipping so it will probably end up costing me about $80.
Then if its not a 209 ignition, that's another $65.
But if its as accurate as the .50 cal I have I will be happy. I only wish the triggers were better cause they are brutal. But you can't beat how light and easy to carry they are.

If it's not 209 ignition I'd just let it be. There's nothing wrong with precussion caps and an extra five minutes of cleaning is hardly going to ruin your day. To me, that gun would be interesting only if it had a slow twist for round balls.

A .54MK or LK with a 1:66 twist - THAT'S THE TICKET!! :s2:

I have one in .50 cal that had a #11 ignition but I couldn't keep the caps on while hunting (I don't put the plunger against the cap - too unsafe) so I converted it to the 209 (with red plastic jacket) ignition which I like a lot better.

My T/C Firehawk .32 and .58 in-lines are both #11 ignition. Never had a problem with either one. I have scopes on both and that little .32 is a bonafide tack driver!
