CCI M Primers
Hey guys,
I haven't been able to find CCI Mag (209) primers anywhere in-store or online. Has anyone else had any luck? |
Yep, my local shop has bunches of them but they wont ship. :D The Fed209A is nearly identical in performance and IIRC made by the same company.

It's crazy here in TN, you can't find anything on the shelves reloading wise. And forget about trying to find .223 or .22. About the only thing you can find is waterfowl loads. |
Cabelas normally has them on the shelf and in the catalog
|
I bought a thousand of them the last time I was there, but that was a few months ago. Reminds me I should go to cabelas again.

They are building a Cabela's in Bristol in '14 and I can't wait. |
Guys,
maybe you can clue me in, why the magnum primers? I have shot blackhorn for 3 or 4 years with regular powder and they never failed me. Am I missing something? daddus |
It is a non-needed carry-over from days of yore. The short answer to your question....about you missing something....no.
|
I don't use mag primers except with a few loads in my non smokers. They are not needed in a good breach pug design. Maybe if i hunted in Alaska or arctic temps, my opinion might vary.
