Great Plains Flinter and the 57GPR Sight

Semi - Instead of a larger bull, when I take my .58 out I made up a sight with a very thick "V" with the point in the center of the paper. I believe that will give me a more consistent hold/aim point than a 6" bull would.

I just put up an 8" paper plate with brown cardboard backer for contrast for a target and found I could hit it quite regularly of the bench.
Here's a 3" bull at 100yd

Semi,
I don't have any Liquid Wrench but I do have some Lloyds Moovit. same idea it's a penetrating oil.
My question is how are you applying the lube to the patch? Are you soaking them then wringing them out or just a light spray? Pre-lubed or at the range?
Thanks

Semi, could you post a pic of the gun with the sight your talking about. Thinking about getting a traditional ML for next season. Trying to learn all I can from you guys. Thanks, Joe. Great shooting by the way.

HuntAway, I make a stack of however many patches I think I'm going to use, squirt on some Liquid Wrench, massage the stack with my fingers to get it evenly distributed to all patches, wrap the stack in a paper towel and squeeze the bundle to take up any excess oil. The patches will feel almost dry and be pleasant to handle. The .50 GP seems to like them a tiny bit wetter than my .54. The .58 Renegade doesn't seem to care if they are on the dry side, or more wet.
