The Western Conversion will include a new bolt housing, a new breech plug, and two percussion nipples; a #11 cap nipple and a Musket cap. And one combination breech plug tool.
You will need to remove the current bolt from the rifle and the current breech plug. Install a nipple in the new breech pug and install that in the rifle.
Getting the old hammer assembly out of the old bolt assembly does require or probably will require a tool. Before you take the old bolt assembly apart look at it very carefully to see how it is aligned.
Here are a couple of pictures that might help with bolt alignment...
This is a picture composite of the Western Kit...
If your rifle is an Original DISC you probably will need a 'C' tool to take the bolt apart. This last picture shows you how to use a 7/16" open end wrench to substitute for a 'C' tool if you do not have one.
