a link to the instructions for barrel browning |
When I did it I bought a piece of PVC pipe long enough to fit the barrel in and capped the end. Then put the barrel in it and filled it untill the Evapo-Rust coverd the barrel. Then let it sit in the corner for 24 hours and PRESTO! No more rust. Or blueing.

Pluckit thank you I've contemplating it and that seems like the best way to go.

The After picture of the rifle was taken after some sanding to try to remove some pitting. No sanding was done on the cannon.

Freebird,
Welcome back. I shoot at Parma Woods if you ever want make some smoke. The evaporust will do the job but be careful not to get any on the blueing. I learned the lesson the hard way. I had very little spilled on a table cover, I leaned my barrel up against it, and bam, I now have a blue free zone on the barrel. |
