Mixing the two ?
I my be talking like a nutty man here :D but can you mix Pyrodex and Triple Seven ??

RE: Mixing the two ?
Shame on you,it is never a good idea to mix two kinds of any powders. If it isn' t dangerous i bet acuraccy would be terrible. Why would you want to do such a thing any how?

RE: Mixing the two ?
I actually think you could do so safely but you would be in pretty uncharted territory. Are you going to do this or is it just a thought? Or is it a " Hold my beer and watch this!" kinda thing.
Can' t see much advantage in doing that nor why you would want to??? So yeah, shame on you!! [&:] |

RE: Mixing the two ?
Pyrodex & Triple Se7en are made & bottled in the same factory. A few posters have reported " sulfur-smelling" Pyrodex in their 777.... myself included.
My jug was approximently half-Pyrodex Select and half-777. I shot 30 shots with it that day. My groups were not consistent, but there was never any barrel pressures danger. Every once in a while, the overhead powder feed line at the Hodgdon factory does not become completely empty when they switch powders for bottling. Hodgdon took my remaining 777 back to test it' s contents & shipped me a new jug of 777. |
RE: Mixing the two ?
It was just a thought,:D I was wondering if you could or not,:D and if any body had tried it and how good did it do.;)
I emailed Hodgdon with the question and they never emailed me back.[X(] |
RE: Mixing the two ?
Not surprised-- they beg you not to on their website.
What would be the possible benefit? |
