just gotta do the butt plate, which I am going to make a recoil pad. had a moment of wanting to finish and get it together before getting one. I have a idea of what I am going to do.

I sure wish I would have caugut that barrel deal in time. I just missed it. Nice rifle.

Corey

They are really nice when they are done and they shoot great...

corey012778 02-09-2013 04:20 PM

should have but did not pass on that deal.

looks nice sabotloader. I am going to take a slip on recoil pad and glue a piece a leather around the out side, make holes and put leather laces and lace it up. I am going to also find a leather sling, old leather belt long enough, or see if i can find a piece of leather scrap long enough to make a sling. attach it to the recoil pad "cover up". sounds like more work then it maybe, mainly leg work

Nice Corey. I find it's best to work on a stock after the season then you don't feel rushed to finish it. That rifle will serve you well.

corey012778 02-12-2013 08:14 PM

Did not get the lock I wanted, but I am glad I bought the lock from the right ebay. story goes he was building a squirrel gun. bought the lock, when the stock came in it had a lock on it. It was the one time I wish ebay would allow long feedback.

same price as new, so I am guessing, he bought it from some supplier. got his money back on the lock minus the shipping. gave it a once over when I took it out of the box. looks brand new. put a hunter trigger on it gun not the double set.

need to work a little on the trigger pull it is a little heavy but no screws to adjust the trigger, and the hammer is not alined right to the nipple.

little picky things. maybe easy to fix. surenot going sending to my sidelock guy, Sorry jon. the gun is 95% new. lol. the stock is the only thing that is used and little (was) beat up.
