Default C.O.P Bullets - Anyone have experience?

I bought a pack of these from Midway, all copper, 200gr .429 cal. They look very much like the Barnes 44 spl TAC-XP 200gr bullets. Plan on using them in my new Thumbhole Wolf when the weather gets better. Just curious on your experience with these bullets. Thanks

John

Did some web searching and other forums. Not much info on them, seems they came out in late 2011 but I have yet to read anybody's experience with them in regular gun loads or muzzleloaders. A few posts bashed these and the Lehighs as being Barnes knockoffs without any supporting data in 2011 but we know how well the Lehighs are so I kind of dismissed those posts. Guess I will have to just see how they work, if nothing else they should be good to use on targets. Not sure the company is in business any more either, searched rareammo.com and the site is down.

Corey,
They were $22.49 for the bag of 50 or $0.45 per bullet. The Barnes TAC-XP's run about $32.00 for a box of 40 or $0.80 per bullet.

Yeah I shoot those 460's made by Barnes and they are not cheap, at 23 bucks for 20 of the 275 gr ones. Still trying to find a 777 charge they like. The 200 gr ones you found at 9.19 are a steal, so of course they are out of them! I see the 275gr C.O.P. are out also, for 12.29 I would have given them a try.
