TC Cheapshots
I'd been shooting my TC Thunderhawk all summer and it was shooting both 240 xtp and TC cheapshots real well with 110 gr 777 2f, around an inch groups at 75 yds. I've shot a few deer with the xtp's before with good results and thought maybe I'd try the cheapshots, figured 240 grains and a hollow point should be plenty for a deer plus I could compare an all lead bullet to a copper jacketed bullet like the XTP. Shot a smaller doe, around 80 lbs, on sunday. It was a 70 yard broadside shot, hit her right where I wanted behind the shoulder. Doe only went about 25 yds before going down. A blind man could have followed the blood trail, she had an entrance and exit hole about 1 1/2 big. By far the most damage I have ever seen from a muzzleloader shot deer and I have shot quite a few over the past 25 plus years of muzzle hunting. Very impressed with the bullet, guess you dont need those fancy expensive bullets for deer hunting after all.

There was a forum member a while ago.. and the T/C Cheap Shots is all he hunted deer with and he claimed that they worked perfect. So your results sound like his. Very good shooting and congratulations on the venison.

I would like to to see this bullet tested by Ron. Much like the inexpensive Harvester PT Golds, it has a fierce, loyal set of ML deer hunters that swear by it. I'll bet it fares better than the 252 gr. HP Powerbelt tested here and at only 1/3rd the price.
