New Vortek and Fusion 240 gr bullets.

my local sporting good shop owner called me this am and said my new Vortek had came in. I ran down to pick it up and put my scope on it and bore sighted it. Figured while I was there I would grab a few things been running low on, powder, patches, primers, and more XTP's for oher gun. He had some Fusion 240 gr bullets with ribbed sabots. I grabbed 2 12 packs figuring new gun might as well try a new load with it.
Got home and did some research on the Fusion's. Found a couple reviews but not to much on them. Was wondering if anybody else has tried them or have any input about them. The load I have in mind is them pushed by about 90-110 grns. of Pyrodex RS inginted by either a CCI-M primer,Fusion muzzleloading primer or a Remington SST primer.
Know my daughter's ML likes about 90 grn of Pyrodex RS with XTP's and CCI primers. My other ML shoots same XTP's with about 100 grns of Blackhorn 209 w Rem primers. Any input would be grateful.:fighting0007:

I have not used the 240 grain Fusions, but I have used the 300 grain ones. I loved them. They shot extremely well for me, and performed great on deer. I was shooting them with 100 grains of Pyrodex pellets and Fusions ML primers in one gun, and CCI #11 caps in the other. The only thing I didn't love about them was the price. I ended up switching to the Speer Gold Dots with a Harvester Crush Ribbed sabot and I get similar groups and very very similar performance for half of the price.

Price ? I only paid 12.65 for a package of them. Found out they performed well on deer. Shot a doe yesterday at 78 yds. Took out 1 rib on left side and hammered the right shoulder blade. She ran 40 yds and dropped in a heap. Found bullet still in shoulder. Weighed about 140lbs the doe did.

Glad to hear you are getting good performance from them. They are definitely a good bullet. As for the price they aren't the most expensive bullet out there by any means, but like I said, I get nearly identical performance on deer with the Speer Deep Curls and I'm paying around $25 for 50 Deep Curls with 50 Harvester Crush Ribbed Sabots. I was paying $13 for 12 Fusions. So literally half the price for similar performance. That's just too hard to pass up for me.
