I cast them myself. When the molds were offered I purchased one, with the group.

The gun shoots well with conicals and round ball.

How was the learning curve for casting your bullets? I've wanted to try that but a little worried about turning out quality bullets without any experience.

I do it by very primative methods actually. The old pot and ladle is all I ever used. But once you learn what to look for in the color of the lead, and how it reacts to the mold, it is not all that hard to do. In fact two new molds are enroute to the house as we type. I want to cast some other bullets.

Semisane.. do you think the .575 would fit out .58 caliber rifles? I was shooting the .570 today and they loaded easy IMO. I was wondering if a tighter ball would be better.

I haven't shot my GM barreled .58 TC Hawken since last March Cayugad. But as I recall it shot pretty well with .575 balls from a Lee mold. ;) :D

Well I ordered the mold to that, and a .495 and a .535 and then a .452 mold so this should be exciting. Graf's & Sons love me.. they will flood me with catalogs for years to come .
