Congrats on the rifle, you got any pics of it? The Armstech's were the earliest Whites I think. I have a .504 White Armstech Whitetail and it is a sweet little rifle.
I would suggest that you get yourself some heavy lead conicals in the 450 to 500 grain range sized to match your bore and shoot the fool out of that rifle. See what kind of accuracy you get with 70 grains of powder. You might want to consider bedding the action if that hasn't been done already. Art |
Is it a 50 or 45 caliber? As far as commerical bullets you may want to try 465gr NoExcuses. Regarding powder, a lot of us White shooters use 777-2f,3f or Swiss 3-F. Doc White favorite is Pryodex P. As far as loads, anywhere from 60-90gr seem to work best. With Swiss 3F I would use 65 or 70gr.

Thats a great find. I'm sure you will love that gun. I personally would try a conical in the 465 to 495 with 70-90 gr powderif its a .504.
If it's a .451 I would go with a 460 gr. with 70-90 gr powder . If you decide to try sabots i've had great results from Dead Center sabots in my .451.with a 100 gr of powder. The fun part is finding the load it likes. Congratulations. Don't forget to post a picture of it and then of the deer you shoot with it.;) |

![]() My White is not a Super 91. Its a Model 97 but I believe they have the same barrels. This is the favorite load of my White Ultra Mag. A 460 grain .5045 diameter Bull Shop Conical with 80 grains of Triple Seven 2f. It also does well with 65 grains of Triple Seven 2f. |
Great rifle, sure you will like it.
