Terminal Report - 200 SST
Good news... I shot a deer in the early MZ season here in KS.
Bad News.... I'm now doe hunting in the late season.
I was out doing some scouting with the idea that I may shoot a deer if the situation presented itself. Well. this guy was standing broadside at 98 yards. I thought to myself, when will I have another opportunity like this? I checked his rack over carefully and decided it was time.
I was shooting the 200 SST, 110 of BH 209, Harvester Smooth Blue sabot in a Disc Elite.
The SST performed well. The below bullet was recovered weighing 144.1. It was the second shot as the first shot was a pass through although not terminal due to a high placement on my part.

Awesome... I was at the farm this morning shooting the same rifle. I really do like the Elite and the 45 is a great caliber for deer hunting although they can be awful boring when you are shooting targets. They are almost like the old Kodac cameras - "point and shoot"
