I don't have your gun but yes, 10 - 200 is possible, however, 200 take a lot of practice and you need to know what the arc of your bullet path will be.

As far as 250 or 300, each will do the job. The 250 have a flatter arc and the 300 will hit harder. What you need to some range time to try both bullets with various powder charges.

You asked if loose was better than pellets? It is if you want to spend the time to fine tune your gun for long shots and great accuracy. If you just want to shoot a deer at 100 yrds or less, pellets are simple and will most likely produce pretty good groups.

Many on this board enjoy working with the guns as much as hunting so we like to tweak things.

Be sure you clean your gun well after each shooting session. It takes time but is part of the sport. Feel free to ask any other question.

Thank you for the info I really appreciate it and am sorry for all te questions I am just new to this sport and don't know anyone who shoots a ML either. As for cleaning it its basically the same as cleaning any other rifle right?

Clean up depends on what powder you use. Read the sticky notes up top or do a search as many have already posted a better description than I can write.

It's not the same as CF rifle because the primer is shot through your breech plug vs. encased in a cartridge. Also, most powders are significantly more corrosive than smokeless. You need to clean more than a CF. BH 209 is almost the same as smokeless which is why many recommend this powder.

Ok is that why its 40 bucks for 10 oz? And about how many shot do you get with 10 oz of powder?

Forty bucks is the most I've ever heard. Bass Pro is selling it here for 29.99.

100 grains by volume is 70 grains by weight. You get about 63, 100 grain shots per bottle.

No one sells it around me and the cheapest I have seen online is right around 40 plus 23 in haz shipping and thank you for the info I'm going to try the aero lite 250 grains with BH209 and cci 209m primers and see how it works I really appreciate all the help

Ed's Gun shop will ship it to you for $28 a bottle. That is the total price including shipping and hazmat. The only catch is you have a two bottle minimum. I've bought from them and they're a good vendor.

Awesome thank you two more questions I just saw something about a breech plug specifically for blackhorn 209 powder for the gun is that necessary? And does he sell primers and bullets too an maybe that breech plug if I need it?

I gave them a call and they said around 58 for the powder 22.95 for the bullets and 26.00 for the breech plug with drill bit so around 106.95 all together. So now all I need to know is do I have to have the breech plug?
