I would suggest you get the BH 209 breech plug. It's much more reliable with BH 209. The stock BP will work, but everything has to be perfect 100% of the time.

Ok I talked to a shop around me and they said that when they put the breech plug on they lost velocity and accuracy is this just bs because they don't sell them or is there any truth to it?

Muley Hunter 09-24-2012 06:48 PM

It's BS. Not sure why they would say that?

Me either thanks for the help guys I'm going to try and find the breech plug kit like the one off of western powders website because I have no cleaning supplies for my ML and that kit comes with the drill bit and the tool that goes with it to clean the breech plug as well as some o rings to make sure the primers seat good

I would buy the breechplug for loose powder, it really is worth it. My accuracy increased when I installed the new plug in my CVA Apex.

well I've got everything ordered the only thing left is for everything to come in and to shoot it and see how it does as I said earlier this is my first muzzle loader and I am pretty excited to see how things go hopefully it lives up to all its hype

I think you'll be pleased.
