Default Knight ultralight , more info

The thread on the ultralight got lost in a barrage of other stuff. I didn't want to wade through all those pages to try and retread everything so I'm starting a new thread because I would like to continue the discussion. I am extremely interested in this gun for Mt Lion hunting as walking the hills is getting to be difficult.
Couple questions for Grouse: how is recoil considering the weight?
Does it have a high comb? Where would you say the balance point is?
Would the stock switch out to a regular mountaineer? Last question, any plans for a .45 cal . That's what I would prefer .

The recoil is a little more obviously because of the weight. I will keep my loads at 125grns by volume or less with 300grn bullets. Im pretty sure im gonna use a 250grn bullet and 125grns when i go to Colorado.

The balance and feel is really good in my opinion. I will pay more attention to that this weekend.

I sure hope they make a 1/20 45 but no word yet.

I did get Grouse to take a picture of the barrels muzzle. I wanted to compare it to a regular extreme barrel. I was/am trying to judge the amount of contour the new U-Lite might have

He sent this comparison of the Mountaineer 50 on the left and ULite 50 on right. Quite a difference...

My next request will be to compare this contour (ULite) to an older Elite 50...

Here is a comparison of a 50 cal Elite to a 50 Mountaineer

It does appear that the new contour on the ULite is significantly different than the older Elite
