Things i hate packing

Socks and Underwear  You never know how many pairs to bring.

I bought some new socks yesterday, washed the undies today and figured 3 pairs of undies are good for at least 2 days each, plus you can turn them inside out for an extra day if needed.

I hate packing clothes for hunting, it just seems like so much you have to bring.

that depends on whether or not you pack toilet paper and how often you have the call of nature. :happy0001: Other wise bring lots of water and soap and be real handy.

You definitely better pack one extra pair of underwear just in case you see that big bull :D

Socks and underware don't take up much space. I always pack more than I think I will need.

MountainDevil54 09-04-2012 02:47 PM

semi but its easy for guys your age to just throw in a couple packages of depends and be on your way, its just not the same for us youngins.

Soap and water is a plenty! Theres a creek that runs past the camp.

Think of it as cover scent, now you have a choice between, pine, earth, sage, or defecation

Muley Hunter 09-04-2012 03:26 PM

I'll make him stuff some pine branches in his underwear.

nchawkeye 09-04-2012 04:13 PM

Two pairs of socks per day, forget the underwear...I haven't worn them in years.... :)

HuntAway 09-04-2012 04:15 PM

I always pack one of each per day same as t-shirts then 3 extra of each.

Plus one big package of unscented baby wipes.:happy0001: Always keep a bunch in a ziplock bag in an inside pocket to keep them warm.

This is the advantage I have of going home at night. I don't have to pack anything but my daily supplies.

MountainDevil54 09-04-2012 04:51 PM

just put the unscented baby wipes on the list. Although the camper does have a shower, thats a lot of water to go through though.

gregrn43 09-05-2012 02:49 AM

Reminds me of an old joke..........

A guy has been going to deer camp with his friends for quite a few years, but never brings home a deer. His wife says she thinks all they do out at camp is smoke cigars, play cards and drink. The guy says he just enjoys the woods and won't shoot anything but a big buck. Well it comes time to leave and as usual his wife has packed for him. Off he goes to deer camp, and a week later he comes home, again with no deer. The wife asks him how the hunting was. The guy says it was a little slow, saw one big buck but could not get a shot. The wife asks if everything else was fine and they guy says yes, but tells the wife she forgot to pack his underwear.

The wife says...........No I didn't forget, I put them in your rifle case.

Good one. :D

bronko22000 09-05-2012 06:00 AM

Good joke. But seriously it is wise to pack plenty of undies and socks. Over the years on my hunts I found that I ususally ended up packing too many camo outfits. Now I only pack a light and heavier set. Then at least 3 pairs of poly long johns, sweat shirt and jacket.
