Y'all talked me into it

I started looking on line and found a new T/C Triumph on sale by a private individual for $400. Never fired comes with Leupold bases some T/C Shockwaves and Pyrodex pellets. It the black with weathershield version. He is going to hold it for me and I will pick it up when I come home from vacation.
Now I am thinking of getting a Leupold Ultimate Slam scope for it.

I sure didn't talk you into it.

sounds like a great rifle. You need another rifle. I can tell.

I think you will like the Triumph, out of the box it is probably the best ML rifle TC made. Mine, seemed to have a tight bore bore but after and application of JB's bore paste that problem was taken care of. It is a very light ML and nice to pack around all day.

Accuracy - the Triumphs really seem to have that deparpment take care of....

Hinge pin worries... not needed they have a different pin than the Encores.

My only wish was that would be offered in stainless...

Which base are you using on your Triumph? Is it the Warne one that T/C offers?

It is the Warne base.

I have the Leupold scope and love it. I have it on my Knight Vision:

I am in the process of getting a new CVA Acura MR and will put one on it.

Well I sent a memo to this guy and bowed out. The more I thought about it the more I am leaning toward the CVA. I would rather the stainless over the Chromemoly w/weathershield. And the 27"fluted Begera barrel over the round 25"T/C barrel.
Reviews has the CVA with a better breech plug system and a better trigger.
I think I will be happier with the CVA. Especially if it shoots as well as my Optima did.

There you go.

The CVA breech plug is definitely better than the Triumph. However, the Triumph trigger is definitely better than the CVA. Of course my opinion only, but be aware, my opinion is not compensated.
