Thompson Center Omega
I saw the new T/C Omega .50 caliber inline
in the Cabela's catalog. It has a 28 inch barrel with a 1:28 twist. The breech system is different. It doesn't have a bolt. It has a hammer. It uses 209 primers. It seems to have some type of rolling block to seal the 209 cap. You have to see it. It's different. |
RE: Thompson Center Omega
As time goes on I find that I'm less and less interested in the latest B/P inovations.
This is not ment as a slam on anyone, just a personal obsevation. I would like to see Thompson put some effort into introducing a new sidelock instead of another inline. Even their last effort of sidelock was an inline of sorts. I long for the days of the Senneca and Cherroke(sp). Again no slam intended to anyone. |
RE: Thompson Center Omega
Has anyone shot these guns yet? Any idea when they will be available to the public in stainless. Its on the website in 4 models.
