Well "nothing runs like a Deere". Now you can get those food plots in and invite us all down for a ML hunt.

very nice tractor. That should do a lot of work around the place. And it looks to be in excellent shape which makes it worth a little. Is that diesel? 2x4 or 4x4?

It's a 1980, 2wd 2940 which is a 82 pto horse power...

My dad was a Deere dealer and after he died in 1975, I went to work for them from 1977-1990...I called one of my old dealers a few weeks ago and asked him to be on the lookout for a clean 50-80hp Deere for me...

This is a one owner tractor, the owner worked full time and raised a little tobacco, corn and soybeans...It has 3400 hours on it and some of these were stationary, running an irrigation system...

I'm very pleased with it...We raise corn, soybeans, wheat, cotton, peanuts, etc but also wanted a smaller tractor to do a little work around the farm and keep our paths and food plots up...

I looked at an old Ford Tractor I think it was a 1958. Just a small one. It had a power take off to run a buck saw. But most of all, it had a front end loader which was my main interest. I could move snow, and haul firewood out of the woods with that front end loader. My other thought was a Bobcat. But they are more toys then anything else to me. As I don't believe in working anymore then I have to. :s2:

That Deere should be perfect for you. Fun too. And you can fix it.

Too cool. I learned to drive on a tractor when I was 10years old. Not sure what make it was, but I loved driving it.

Thats a good looking tractor. Tractors are so handy to have around the place. I use mine quite a bit for plots and the garden. If we dont start getting some rain around here there is not gonna be any fall food plots in this part of the country.

Though I doubt it would be able to keep up with our hunting club's old Ford, which probably had 34,000 hours on it.. :s2:
