Shooting Competition
This is a little off topic but thought it was fun
After shooting my rem 700ml. i placed 3 milk jugs out at 175, 225 and about 275 yards. And took out our Remington model 788 .222 and had a nice shooting competion with the family..It was pretty Fun, will defiantly do it again. The rules were you shoot the closest one and gradually move up until you miss then its the next persons turn. That rem .222 is a cool little gun |
I never shot that caliber. I have shot .223 and .243 and once a 22-250 but only one shot.

The .222 is very similar to the .223....there a cool caliber

I have a Sako Varmit bull barrel in 222 and I really like shooting that gun. I also once had a Weathyby 22-250 also it shot great also, but the Weatherby is gone and I still have the 222. |

yeah we usually hunt squirrels with just a .22lr. but its fun to use other guns too

I have a Rugar 77 medium weight in 220 swift I like really well. I had wanted one since I can remember. But being a big fan or the winchester family of cartridges 308, 7mm08, 243, I have been kicking around the idea of finding a used Reminton 700 (my favorite rifle series includeing the ml's.) in the above calibers and do a rebarrel on it to the 22 Millstead or the 22 cheaths.
what worrys me and has stoped that from happening is the head stamps cause I shoot the 308, 7mm 08 and 243 now. :D Al |
My small bore fun gun is a M40 Savage .22 Hornet single shot.
![]() It's just fine out to 150 yards with really cheap hand loads. ![]() |
