New/Used 58 Cal
I just installed a Green Mountain IBS 58 cal barrel on my Renegade hunter last night. Cannot wait to go shoot it. just waiting for the T/C tang sight I found to arrive.
But I do see what you folks mean by the balance it sure seemed to improve it.
Oh, Tip Curtis had the barrel.

I am not a long range shooter, but this was with my .58 caliber GMB in a Renegade stock shooting 110 grains of Goex 2f and a .570 roundball with a pillow tick patch. This was at 100 yards off a bench rest of course. And once I got the sight picture, the rifle really was putting them in there.
The bottom holes were from another time. But that paper plate with the duct tape X was holding there real good. With that load.. you would not want to be on that other end. Good shooting rifles.
This rifle has no scope or peep sight. Just open sights without fiber optics.

I just got the shipment notice for the tang sight, so next Saturday I should be able to go out and shoot before I go to Floria or 2 weeks.
Fitting the barrel, the tang fit great, I had to take some off the rib so it would fit in the stock. It hit the front of the stock about a 1/16". Can't wait to go shoot.
