I roll my own from custom Molds from Mountain Molds. 510 gr .503 semi wadcutter, 460 gr .450 flat point and 400 gr .410 flat point. Soft virgin lead knocks um dead.

My top 3 favorite bullets:

1. .40 cal 200 grain Shockwave/SST - especially for long range, but will get the job done at all ranges in my experience. Pretty affordable (especially the SST) and I picked up a large number of these for a song years ago....

2. .40 cal 185 grain Lehigh - I like this for short - mid range. I haven't tested it enough at long range to feel comfortable shooting farther than 100 yards with it.

3. .452 cal 250 grain Deep Curl- great short range bullet to put deer down quickly

.50 cal Precision Dead Center 300 gr. out of an Omega w/ a 3-9 Leupold Vari-X II.

Unbelievable what it will do to a whitetail when put in the boiler room. "They fold like a cheap suit". Quick, humane kill.

Will consistently hold a one inch 3 shot group at 100 yds, if I do my part.:s4:
