When I first heard about the Knight UL, I voiced my specualtion about the price of the rifle just because of the Kevlar stock.

I was told by Knight they knew they were pushing the limits but the rifle was or is meant for a select market. They believe they will be able to sell to that market. It was never meant to be a mass produced product, nor was it meant for the occasional ML shooter/hunter.

I am sure it would be nice if they would sell a gross but again Knight is more interested in quality, American, and somewhat of a select market. Anyway that is my opinion...

I know I am quite sure I am going to get one just because of my age and the weight of the gun. Gonna have to sell a few things to make it work though...

No interest for me. The MR is light enough.

Give them a couple years and then buy them on close out when the stores dump them because no one will pay that kind of money.

I know the weight of the rifle is important for those walking around. But if I am walking, its in the woods. And in the woods my range to shoot is really limited. My Wolverine LK-II will handle any job there. If I am walking to a blind, then the White Model 97 .451 with that 22 inch barrel is a pleasure to carry and will drop anything in the woods.

I am sure they will sell some of them.

An Elite type stock as the base model w/2 pillars and the Kevlar w/2 pillars PLUS bedding for the top end wouldn't be a bad idea.

I love light weight rifles but getting the weight way down and keeping a stiff stock isn't cheap. I noticed the barrel is 24" too. Get it down to 20" and you would have an awesome BrushGun.

Just found out is a B&C Kevlar stock with pillar bedding...

Like Scott indicated look at the price of a after market pillar bedded Rem/Win stock. $600+ for a stock. That has got to move the price of the rifle up a bit...

Im actually surprised how cheap this ML is. Your talking 1/2 the price of an Ultralight Arms. 24" barrel, Kevlar stock, the only down side i can see is its a 50caliber.

Myself, i am really excited about the 50 cal and at 6#'s it would be my do everything gun, especially here in Idaho.

Looks like I am going to have move some other guns to build up some funds - I really want to get one.

The MR is 6.35 oz with a 25" barrel. That Knight is a lot to spend for such a small gain in weight. About the difference between a light scope and a heavy scope.
