New Toy - First Range trip
I bought this on the cheap last month. Mostly, because I thought the sights were cool. It's a Traditions Lightning with a 1/32 twist. I knew it would shoot sabots and I fired a few through it. Nice group at only 25 yards. I then switched to Buffalo Ball-ets which are great because I don't need to swab between shots.
This is my first go with a peep so I was pretty happy with the results. ![]() ![]() 25 yards. ![]() 50 yards ![]() |

Good Shooten... And I also really like that rear sight... I wonder if that was a stock sight or an aftermarket... Has it got a name on it? |
Sabotloader,
It's a mystery sight. No markings and it looks old. I only used it in the lowered position. It will take considerable tinkering to figure out the long range or up position accuracy. http://www.huntingnet.com/forum/blac...ify-sight.html |
Josmund, that sight alone is probably worth what you paid for the gun.
