I need another .50 caliber muzzleloader...
...like I need another hole in my head.
so why is it every time I see a dirt cheap muzzleloader I have an irresistible urge to buy it? Well, this one keeps tempting me. http://www.traditionsfirearms.com/pr...ce39dbe0c63864 |
Yeah, that's a hard to pass up deal pluckit. I wish it were a .45.

I saw that add and have to admit, that particular model does not interest me at all. Its their bottom of the line rifle, and I am not saying its not a shooter.. its just I have other rifles similar to it that I can shoot. So I do not have to jump the gun for that one. Other then the .22 caliber I recently purchased, I have been doing very good resisting the urge to purchase other rifles...
But I know what your feeling. Just buy it and get it over with... |
It appears to be a rifle they don't produce anymore since it doesn't have the Accelerator breech plug. Even though I have the Pursuit model and the Buckstalker is a cheaper model, I still find a NIB muzzleloader for around $100.00 hard to resist. I figure that's about what you would pay for it if you take off the cost of the scope. I think I need a support group. And not one that supports my notion of buying this rifle. I'm going to go and try to make a range rod for a .50/.54 caliber muzzleloader and try to forget about it. (Wishful thinking.)

At first all I could say is butt ugly!!! but then I saw the price. I could probably put up with ugly for that price. Could make a good back up though.

Sorry - that was just too easy to pass up. But I do have to agree with you. It ain't that purdy. Plus its a Traditions. I don't get a warm fuzzy with Traditions rifles after seeing the piece of junk my friend had. If I were to buy another inline it would definately be a break open action and would probably be a CVA Optima or Accura. I think they are a really good buy for the money. Especially when you compare them to T/C or Knight. |

Getting old sucks! |
Well I am getting younger. I attended a graduation party last weekend. I was talking to a very pretty young lady who I mentioned how I had watched her grow up over the years, so that made me feel so old. And she told me I was not getting older just immature. So that means getting younger... Right?
So you need to get the rifle and shoot the devil out of it. We need a new range report. Now it's off to the wood pile time to split wood. |
