Buffalo possibles bag

My sinew string came in today and so i sat for about 30 minutes sewing up the sides and then turned it right side out. Came out real cool! I have to figure something out for a shoulder strap, I don't like the idea of having to trim a strap that long off my hide and then having to shave it. Be like shavin my butt :eek2:

Sounds like a shi##y job to me.:guiness:

MountainDevil54 05-19-2012 07:13 PM

Heres the material i have to work with.

the pig was lights out, snoring when i had it folded LOL.,

I ordered 5lbs worth of leather straps today, We'll see how it comes out once i sew a strap on to the bag.

I think you should just give it to your dog, it seems to really like it.

Got my straps yesterday, cut them to width and then made a capper out of some scrap leather and attached it to the strap! Going out here in a bit to take some pictures.

That's pretty cool. Did you vacuum the dog hair out of them? :p

btw...A pocket on the inside for small stuff is handy.

MountainDevil54 05-30-2012 11:27 AM

lol no dog hair on it, rocky doesnt shed much. I did comb it though.

I didn't want to get to involved with pockets and such. Just a bag you'd make if you were in a bind and needed one in the wilderness. I tend to keep things in speed tubes and a tin can as i prefer things to be in one place.

Muley Hunter 05-30-2012 11:34 AM

I thought you were going to sell them?

MountainDevil54 05-30-2012 11:37 AM

A few of them I will. I may save this for rendezvous on june 10th-16th in case i see something i'd prefer to trade for.

Muley Hunter 05-30-2012 11:43 AM

That's what I meant. If you're going to sell them. A small pocket would be nice. Most guys who buy that sort of bag won't be using speedloaders.

MountainDevil54 05-30-2012 11:46 AM

I'll look into it, It takes up more leather and sore fingers. I may be able to put a decent pocket on the back side "inside of the bag" so the stitching doesn't show.

Muley Hunter 05-30-2012 11:54 AM

That's where they usually put them. Good for the small stuff that would get lost on the bottom with no pocket.

You know. Like you do with your purse.

MountainDevil54 05-30-2012 11:55 AM

ohhhh girl friend you best shut yo mouf b4 i slaps you wit it!

MountainDevil54 05-30-2012 02:22 PM

may just keep this bag for myself! Im out now shooting the 54 renegade off my shooting sticks and reloading right out of the bag. Real comfortable on my shoulder, especially the shoulder that constantly gets knots and pinched nerves in it.

The capper i sewed onto the bag not only works well, but can be used as a palm saver! I shocked myself on that one when my palm was getting a bit sore from the ramrod.

Going back out for a little more fun shooting and then later this evening i will try 100 yards once i get it center at 50 yards.

bronko22000 05-30-2012 02:33 PM

Md - pretty nice. Now what you need to do is sew a sheath on the strap for a small patch knife.

MountainDevil54 05-30-2012 02:47 PM

nooo! No patch knife, all precut patches LOL.

I carry my swing blade on my belt, you just can't beat those knives.

Renegade is so close to being center. Will fine tune it at 100 yards later this evening.
