New Rifle Coming any day!!
 

I was looking through a Bass Pro Shop site and saw they were selling CVA Mountain Stalker rifles for $69.95. I need another rifle like I need a hole in the head so I have been told. Lets hope I am the only one home when the UPS man comes.

Anyway, it is a .54 caliber sidelock with a 26" barrel and a 1-38 twist. I am going to try shooting roundball with a reduced charge and some 300 grain LEE conicals that I make, out of it. The light conicals I think will do real good. They shoot excellent out of my T/C .54 caliber Renegade. I am not into sabots much, but if anyone has seen on of these, shot one, or knows a load they like, or could suggest some to try, give me a post.

cayugad the 1 in 38 twist barrel is what the thunderhawk 54 cal. has by t/c and shoots the percision sabot 350 grains poly tip excellent also another sabot round that shoot great is 300 grain penetrator tip/boat tail tradition has a closeout on them for $4.99 a box regular sell for $12.00 bucks.I also tried conicals over a wonder wad but just could not put it together for some reason.
