Change of plans today

Woke up this morning to a howling wind. Strong and steady with heavier gusts. No sense shooting today. But no matter as I didn't receive my .54 cal over powder wads yet.
So later on after doing some chores around the house I'm headed to Cabelas to pick up some things. I decided today that if they have them in stock, I am going to pick up a Chrony chronograph. I also need some powder, bullets and a few other odds and ends. I got one of those mailers formembers for a % off depending on how much you buy sooooo.........

I shot in that wind the other day and it was kind of exciting to see what the rifle would do. Although I did not shoot long range. And I shot heavy bullets.

Go spend a lot of money. That always is a good time.

I seldom have problems with wind because of the trees on both sides of our shooting range. But that may change with the thinning of the trees now in progress.

I have the $120 ProChrono Digital Chronograph by Competition Electronics. Really like it.

I washed my Jeep.

My Ford Ranger is still dirty from hunting season. But I will be washing it next month. I wash it every May whether it needs it or not.

I wash mine every other May. I'm early this year.

I'm back. Bought a chronograph, bullets, powder, patches and a few other odds and ends. Not too bad price wise. I got $30 off my order from a Cabela's coupon plus I had $35 in points. So I walked out paying less than $200 for a lot of stuff I wanted.
And wait! Are you supposed to wash your trucks? Never knew that! I guess I better wash mine. I even forget what color it is now!

Turns out mine is black. I thought it was mud brown.

I even found an old snickers in the mud. A little crunchy, but not bad.

Just because it had a peanut doesn't mean it was a snickers.

Muley,I think Kirby got you on that one.
