.35 caliber pistol

Does anyone know who makes, or anything about, a .35 caliber single shot black powder pistol?

Someone should make a .36. Maybe CVA or Traditions.

There are .36 caliber cap and ball revolvers. Pietta was making them for a while. Actually with a lot of true calibers, that was a very common caliber for the cap and ball.

Pedersoli makes several of their caplock models in .36 caliber. They are mighty nice and I always wanted one. But the price will make you gasp.

Kahanke Gun Works makes a modern .36 hunting pistol that's capable of switching barrels.

Thanks. Someone I know just acquired a single shot pistol in 35 caliber. He doesn't know who the maker is. I figure with the information everyone supplied it must be a .36 caliber and he was referring to the ball size. He wants me to take a look at it and I told him I would stop by after work today. I just wanted to try to gather a little information about it before I get there. Now to try to find a safe recommended load for it. 10 to 12 grains fff for a .32 caliber is all I can find.

I asked him if the hammer was on the side and he said it was on the top. I found that to be a strange answer until I found this.

This is a pistol like the one he has. The one in the picture is in pristine condition compared to his. It is a .41 caliber smooth bore. I told him I would take it home and clean it up for him but he said no. ? . He knows nothing about muzzle loaders and even less about cleaning one up and getting the rust out of the bore and off of the outside of the pistol. Oh well... Does anyone know anything about the .41 caliber Mendi derringer? He got some .36 caliber round balls with it but that didn't seem right. They would have to be too small, right?
