Renegade Scope mounts?

Where can i get a scope mount for the 1" barrel tc renegade? My 54 was drilled and tapped.

The mounts for Renegades and TC Hawkens did not require the barrel be drilled and tapped. They used the two holes for the rear sight plus a hole in the breechplug. Some TC barrels had the hole in the breech plug. Some did not.

When you say your barrel was drilled and tapped, was that in the breech plug only, or in the barrel itself?

The last time I checked with TC they had a scope base made for their octagon barrels, it's part #9953. They say it fits both the Renegade and Hawken models, but I would double check that. They were $44.50 plus shipping, and could be ordered by phone from TC Customer Service.

someone had the actual barrel drilled. Looks like i can use an octagon style mount as long as its for a tc octo. barrel.

Good deal Devil. I haven't seen those before.

I'm not a fan of see through mounts. But it looks as though those will do fine.

You might need an offset hammer.

You won't like that kind of mount Jon. Your cheek will be way off the stock to line up with the scope.

My .270 came with one of those mounts. It took me a nano second to take it off and throw it away.

Oh I don't plan on buying it. I just saw the holes drilled and the clock started its creaky, rusty turn.

If there were additional holes drilled and tapped in the barrel they were probably for one of the generic flat bottom Weaver type bases. Measure the distances between all of the holes and you can probably find a flat base mount with holes that match.
