RE: need help picking a front stuffer
Are you looking for an inline or flint?
And my second question - you said on the cheap side. How about a ballpark number so that we can better guide you. |
RE: need help picking a front stuffer
If you want to stay on the inexpensive side, I would look at the CVA line. They make a great rifle for the money, whether it is an in-line (A friend shoots a .54 caliber CVA that kicks like a mule when loaded hot) or a side lock (A couple of friends shoot their CVA Hawkins rifles, and I have shot them, they are nice shooting guns). One fellow I know bought a Bobcat I believe it is called. It is a short .50 caliber CVA sidelock he gave less then $100.00 for, and it shoots fine out to the ranges he needs it for. Where we hunt, most shots are close, and that little Bobcat has brought home venison for him. It is not a pretty rifle, but he shoots roundballs out of it, and takes deer with it, which is what you wanted.
Rossi or NEF I have never shot, or seen shot. Good Luck on what ever you get. |
RE: need help picking a front stuffer
i want an in-line preferable below $250. and also in .45 or .50 caliber

where in iowa are you at? knights are made in centerville, and you can buy them from their store. that is where i got mine, definately worth the trip, and the price. they have a few cheaper models, the ameerican knight, and the wolverine are lower end models, both take 209 primers, and are quality guns. i have a disc extereme and absolutely love it. i' m carrying it for shotgun season this year
knights # is 641-856-2626 if you don' t want to make the trip, they will ship. occasionally they have guns that were used on tv shows, or as demos at a reduced price |
