At our range, the rules require that all ML loading must be done on the tables behind the shooting benches. Makes good sense.

I am also fortunate to be able to shoot here at home and not travel to a shooting range. I always use my old picnic table or a card table as a loading /cleaning station and I shoot from a seperate bench. I have done like you Bronko, and use the tailgate as my load/clean station when shooting at a friend's place. I'm very strict about keeping powder and flasks, caps/cappers, etc. closed and away from the shooting bench. I'm also quick to tell my buddies that smoke to TAKE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE!!...BPS
