Knight

I finally recieved my new knight vision mz a couple days ago that i ordered on Jan 12, an i must say i do not think it was from the leftover stock due to the low serial # on it.It has the blk syn stock an stainless steel barrel on it, it shoulders great, trigger feels very good no creep.....now need to top it off with some optics, an make alittle smoke...........the lady who works for knight told me they sold 1,500 of those mz in 2 days........any ideas on what bullet this gun may like.....gonna stay with pyrodex rs on this mz.....love the smoke an the clean up...lol

Congrats on the new toy!! Knight puts out some great rifles!! I like the Lehigh/Bloodlines in the bullets myself. If you don't have a scope yet, give Vortex a look. They put out some great optics with the best warranty in the business in my opinion. Have fun with the new gun!!

They like most bullets to be honest. You will love that ML.

If you're looking for optics, check out the threads on the Cabelas Powderhorn.

For $50 they're a steal. I was happy with mine for $100+.

new ammo

Spike, sounds like fun times ahead. I would try several bullets T/C shockwaves, Hornaday XTP, Barnes MZ etc. HOWEVER, don't forget to try some diff. sabots with them. You DO NOT & shouldn't draw your conclusions based on the sabots that come with pre-pkgd bullets. Thanks to the oh-so wise words of members, Ron & Mountaineer, I am currently trying & comparing MMP HPH 12 & 24s against Harvester Crush-ribs with my favorite bullets. GOOD GOD has my accuracy come together. I'll post soon about how my Mountaineer liked the MMPs.

agreed,...............i try an always experment with different bullets/sabot combos......i guess that's just part of the fun.if i'm not mistaken the knight bores are a fairly tight bore an the t/cs are somewhat bigger.....hopefully 1 day this week i can head out to the range an put some through her..

frontstuffer01,

I picked up a Vision about 8 months ago. I really like it so far. The only issue I had was that after a couple months the rifle stopped firing, something with the firing pin. I shipped it back to Knight and they fixed it free of charge.

I haven't had a lot of time to experiment with loads, but the most accurate so far was the 200 grain .40 cal XTP with the .40/.50 MMP blue sabot and 110 grains T7. The 185 .40 cal Lehigh was a close second. So far the rifle seems to like a lot of powder, so whatever bullet you use, I would suggest using 100 grains minimum, and try using 110 or 120 grains if you desire.

Thanks for the heads up on the powder charge, ...went by the local wallyworld today an they had 7lbs pyro rs on closeout for $15 a jug, but they have been this price for about a month an i talked to the manager there an offered him $12 a jug..........sooooooo i came home with 7 new jugs of rs......Happy Valentines day to me!!
