If its real cold outside, I wonder if the electronic ignition loses some of its power to ignite the charge? How reliable is the ignition?

My Accura used to suffer delay, and once a mis-fire when using BH209 powder. What i did was modify the breech plug. Ever since, the rifle is 100% reliable igniting BH in all kinda weather. Any shot gun primer can be used. Magnum primer are not required. Perhaps the Electra breech plug can be modified to be work with BH. Photo show what was done to the Accura breech plug. |
Mod it with a new Bosch Platinum from Autozone?

there must be a way to amp the spark just like a car to fire longer and hotter the cirket board is the place to look and noing what each pice of the board dose and what to replace would do it just thinking good luck and it looks like a nice gun

im sure you can jump the spark up a bit with some new resistors but then you really stand the chance of being up a creek when something burns out.

When you duplex Blackhorn with black powder do you have to clean the rifle with hot water and Hoppe's?
|
I don't. Its such a small amount that i just use the regular 2 in 1 bore scrubber.

Thanks, but I was kidding.

Looks like you are going to have to take that gun out, pour some bh209 down it and see what she does. Can't hurt to try.

I can't wait to play with it but I will have to wait until I can make the journey to the range, unfortunately. Also, the scope isn't scheduled to arrive for another few days yet. It's not like I don't have anything else to play with. I just have so little time and the range is too far away. I just put scope ring extensions on the Knight Vision and it needs to be sighted in also.
