Please stay safe

Just because it is a single shot ML let's please not let our guard down when handling them. Being in the business I am in I have friends all over the states. I just received word that a friend of mine who lived in ND who was also a member of this site was found fatally wounded today in a hunting related accident. He was disabled and had a special permit that allowed him to hunt from a specially designed van. He was found at one of his hunting sites sitting in the passenger seat with his spotting scope attached to the side window The van was designed for him to hunt from the front passenger seat. He had apparently died from an accidental self inflicted gun shot from his muzzleloader. No one is certain how it happened at this time. I know he shot a TC ProHunter so the hammer had to be cocked. Please just because it is not a centerfire do not let your guard down when handling our muzzleloaders.

SJAdventures, thanks for the reminder of how important it is to always be careful no matter what kind of firearm is being handled.

Thank you Chaded;3899924, That is the whole point of my post, not a debate on this gun or that gun.

It would be nice if you would please delete that statement and for chaded to delete his quotation of that statement as it is absolutely false.
