V1 Breech Plug
 

I need a replacement breech plug for my accura v1. Is this the same plug that the kodiak uses? Thanks

Ya know I was thinking the same thing as I was cleaning the Wifes Kodiak this year. I noticed that it looks just like the breechplug for my ACCURA. Im not going to say yes it is but it does look just like it. Give CVA a call and ask them, mabey MD will chime in. I ordered a spare BP for My ACCURA from CVA, it's always good to have an extra one, but I never needed it as of yet.
I took a few pics of the BP from both the ACCURA and the Kodiak, the ACCURA's BP is on the left and the Kodiak's is on the right. They both look exactly the same ececpt that the fire channel on the Kodiaks where you put the 209 Primer in has what looks like a circle in it?? but other than that there the same size and everything.

I wonder if you can drill the Accura breech plug V1 about 1/2" countersunk deep into the plug and use the BH209 powder?
I have a Buddie who is a machinist say he can turn it down or countersink the hole.I did buy the new plug from CVA for the New Optima so far works like a dream
My son would like to switch from triple 777 to BH powder in his Accura:party0005:

The photo show what i do to the Accura breech plug. The flame channel is drilled all the way through to be 5/32". Then a 5/16" cavity is drilled into the powder end about 3/8" deep using a 82 degree 5/16" center drill. Then the plug is tapped on the powder end about 7 threads with a 10-32 tap. At this point there is no flash hole. The flash hole is provided by drilling a 0.028" hole in a 3/8" long 10-32 Holo-Krome cap screw. Then the head of screw is turned down to 5/16", and put into place. Now the plug can be put into service, and will provide 100% reliable ignition of BH209.

I've got one of Rons plugs but want a new factory plug as I am thinking of selling. Thanks guys
