Top shots are with 80gr Pyrodex RS, .018 patch lubed with Hoppes BP & Patch lube " Which sucks by the way" and home cast .490" round ball at 75 yards. First high shot was on a clean bore, the next 4 shots laid right in the big ----- hole. The recovered patches were shredded which tells me that the hoppes lube sucks so i will work on a new patch lube next time i play with the round balls.

Lowest shots are with the 250 REAL, 90gr Pyrodex RS, lubed wad @ 75 yards. First 2 shots were clipping and on shot #3 i got the tiniest hang fire ever, but that was enough to throw one shot 3/4" high. Im happy! I will order a new front sight and file it down to where its dead on at 100 yards and i will be good to go come huntin season.

Very nice MD. Looks like you got yourself a nice light, good shooting elk rifle.

It looks like you have that one figured out. Nice shooting!
