Well it is a monster and congrats to the hunter. Now why can't i see something like that in the woods, just once!

Will be going back to the woods the last week of our season here in Virginia (season ends 7 jan.) We still have a Bullwinkle roaming our woods on the property and i will give him hell if I see him. I will be hunting with a handgun though. Will be taking my Ruger GP-100:

and S&W 629:

with me.

Look's like some green leaves on the bushes... I'm thinking that Buck was either taken much earlier in the year or possibly coastal NY?

It did'nt say where he took the buck, Im sure he wants to keep it a secret from everyone and not give away his hunting spot. There is a early MLing Season in the Northern Zone it goes from Oct 15th-21st, so Im assuming it was taken then.

According to this article that deer was taken in 2007. I never believe anything on the net and this is why.

(For what it is worth) Two years ago my wife and I were returning from a trip to Nova Scotia,& somewhere a little north of Utica, (don't remember the road), There was a dead deer in the ditch, it was probly the biggest buck I have ever seen, I should have stopped and taken a picture. when we got home I google some of the local papers in that area to see if I could get any information, as I am sure a deer of that size would make news. I never did hear anything, but it made a believer out of me NY has some nice deer, Doc

From what I can tell, it is the record non-typical and was killed with a MLer. Doesn't matter the year, that is a hell of a buck!!!
