Good read and I will try to do the same as I have some 250gr shock waves and have just ordered some BH209.......Same gun differnet shooter.

Ought to be interesting.

JW I will be very interested in your results. I did not swab between any shots. I am shooting the CCI primers and they were filthy. I couldn't get over the fouling in the breech area. The Winchester 209 are much cleaner.

It is my suspicion the W209 are cleaner, because they are a couple or so thousandths longer, and thus make a better seal. Some use a metric o-ring about 1mm thick to get a better seal. This may require a shorter primer yet to allow the action to close. One fella i read, uses an STS primer with the metric o-ring, and has what he say is 'zero fouling'.
