What did he weigh in at wet and field dressed?

We did'nt weigh him befor we field dressed him. In the late spring and early summer when we saw him he probably weighed 30-40 more pounds than he did after we field dressed and weighed him. He was in full 2nd rut when he was taken and dropped a-lot of weight since the beginning of bow season.
He field dressed out at a wimpy 153lbs, live weight at the time I bet he was in the 180's, had be have been harvested during our early archery season he probably would have been close to 180-190 field dressed and about 220 live weight.
We have some good sized bucks taken here every hunting season, dressed weights on the good ones will go in the 220lb range.

LOL, that's about 100 lbs more than our typical mature buck weighs dressed.

Were only about 50 miles from the Canadian Border, these Northern Bucks do grow big especially in Farm Country where they have much food to choose from. We have Corn, Soybeans, Apples and on and on for them to eat. They need to grow big and fat to survive our winters. On Occasion one will be taken and dressed out over 250++lbs
A lucky hunter this season broke our State Record for our Black Bear, this sucka dressed over 700lbs, and some of our Coyotes go 90lbs+
