Knight extreme .45 twist??
I have a chance to pick up a Knight disc extreme .45 in SS and a th stock. guy says it was his dad's and was only used one season, cleaned and put away. Says it is immaculate, inside and out.
I am just wandering the twist on the barrel, did they have a set twist or was certain ones, different. I think I am going to buy it anyway, I can get it for less than 200.00 |

Sounds like a pretty good deal. The 45 is fun to mess with. You can buy 100 200 grain XTP's for $20. It's great for the range and game.
My advantage is season is almost over (this weekend) and most people won't invest in a gun, they cant use, for another year. Or not around here, anyway. He sent me pics, it looks like new on the outside has a SS fluted barrel and a block TH composite stock. |

If you don't think the Mountaineer is a great gun you won't like that Disc. Better give the info to a knight lover so they can buy it:s4:
The other problem, I have is the bare primer bolt nose. Cleaning it is a PITA and getting the primer in the nose is about the same. The extreme doesn't have the bolt issues and as I said the cleaning is getting better. What do you use to clean your bolt nose, I haven't found anything yet that works good. cant get a brush in there correctly and afraid to use solvent with the pin, right there. afraid I will gum it up. |

[quote=Boonechaser;3890435]The only problem I have with the Mountaineer is the cleaning which is getting easier, everytime! The break and drop actions have spoiled me.

With the bolt apart you can then spray cleaner into and on the bolt housing. I do use a plain old toothpick and solvent to clean out the primer rail system. |
I'm having flash backs. ;) You guys should really try an Accura if you haven't already.
