It Does Not Look Good

Heading to the lease this evening for a three day hunt. Still trying to put this season's first deer in the freezer.

But DANG, the weather forecast does not give me a lot of hope.

Man that is Blaze Orange Bermuda short weather here in WI....

But any day afield is a day of hunting - good luck.

You can't kill 'em sittin' on the couch! :s2:

Seriously though, as I think back over some of the biggest deer the people in our party or I have killed, a LOT of them were on nasty days. This year one of our guys killed a 150 class deer on a day that most guys wouldn't have even set an alarm to get up for.

I'd take your lows for highs here, but that would be dreaming.

Are those temps high for your neck of the woods? The rain is perfect for still hunting.

This is XFactor, he is from your neck of the woods. weather does not matter to take this guy as long as you have $30,000

When it comes to antlers. I SAY , the uglier the better!!!!

But, even if I had that kinda money to blow, I am dead set against high fence operations and think they all should be shut down. Hell, i even think guided hunts are cheating!!!

They are. We agree.

Well I was never keen on high fence hunting. But Guided hunts do that their place. After all those that do not live in an area, can not do the pre scouting. That is basically what a guide does, among other things. They do the pre scouting, and learn the habits of the animal in question. I've used guides. And worked my behind off, following them mountain goat like guides around. I swear they never get tired.
