Father/Daughter success

Saturday night I took this 9 point, my biggest muzzleloader deer, and tonight my daughter took a small doe (no pics down loaded yet). Both deer from the same tree stand and the same muzzleloader. This was her first deer. she held out for a buck, through the rifle season and took her doe on the last day of our muzzleloader season.

We used the Triumph, shooting the 300gr, .430xtps over 80grs the Bh209. Both shots were roughly 50 yards. I took a high shoulder shot and dropped him. She put one behind the shoulder and took out the heart. The doe ran 50 yards, but my daughter had little trouble tracking. (plenty of blood).

Congrat's to You Both! Cherish every moment with your Daughter, some day she'll find someother one to be with and you wont have as much time to spend with Her. My Daughter was with Me from the time She was 2, Her Mom would'nt let Me take Her in the Woods when she was any Younger. We has some good Hunts togeather then She found out about BOYS! I still have My Wife though.....hopefully she'll stick around a little longer. I LOVE Family Hunts!

Congratulations to you both! The Triumph is the most consistent muzzle loader made.

I appreciate your comments. This year has been the best hunting season I've had since the lose of my hunting partner (father) 15 years ago.

My younger daughter even came out with us, for a morning hunt. She doesn't hunt, but sat for 3 hours on stand. The two girls, together, in the same stand probably made enough noise to scare most of the deer into the next township. But I loved having them both.

My Triumph has never let us down. I can rib my daughter about muzzleloading being, not so bad! She really wanted to take her first deer with the 243, a bought her.
