yeah thats my next lube on the list. I'll try the hoppes BP Cleaner & patch lube first and see how that goes. Kinda nice using a lube that actually cleans as you shoot LOL. BUT the big question is how will it slide down on a dirty bore without the slickness. Time will tell.
Getting some 250gr REAL loads ready for it tomorrow. Just 50 yard shooting to make see how it will group. |

Use olive oil on those patches and spare yourself the mess.
I put my patches in a ziplock with some olive oil and let them sit. Will take them out and press with paper towels to absorb excess oil. Worked great for my sons cva and my hawkens. |

well I know everyone has their favorite patchlube and most give great results but i got to add my 2 cents also. I tried various lubes and while all gave good results i find the dry patch method is the best. By "dry patch" I dont really mean dry patch but rather it is 7 parts water and 1 part ballistol mixed together. Soak the patches , then take out and dry. Once they dry just bag them up and you are ready to go. This gives me the most consistant shots and the patches are consistant with the amout of lube on each one. try it you'll like it:s2:
