.45 TC Hawken

Just wondering what one of these is worth? I have one I picked up used awhile back in great shape but haven't shot it yet. I'm contemplating selling it to pay for a couple other things, just not sure if it's worth it for sure or not. So, if you were going to buy on of these in good condition, what would you pay for it?

The TC Hawkins in forty five caliber to me is more of a target rifle. Granted, they are a good hunting rifle, I just see no reason not to use a larger caliber. Still, they are popular so I would guess that rifle worth $250. 00 to $350. 00. I guess it depends on how bad you want that caliber.

a guy another forum had one up for sale for $250. don't know if he ever sold it. I am most thought about making him an deal for it. but I don't need another sidelock (right now).

I agree with Cayugad's range of $250 to $350 for a clean TC Hawken with a good bore. The .45s are a bit harder sell though and will likely fall at the lower end of the range, with the .54s at the top end. A .58 may go even higher. As Dave said, it depends on the buyer and the gun. Such things as no pitting around the nipple seat or real pretty wood push the price up.

Well, keep an eye on the classifieds. It will probably show up there soon.
