Default Success finally

Havent been on here in a while been busy around the hacienda and bow hunting. After going at it since Oct 1 here on L.I. and then upstate after the 15th I finally got a decent buck to come in on the last day of the reg. bow season upstate. He was eyeing a doe which was under my stand and rather then wait for him to possibly get nearer I chanced a 40 yd shot ,about my limit, and after a short track he was mine....

Now to get back up with the rifle and muzzle loader.....

NICE DEER !~

I too live and hunt Long Island............its been weird.

Seeing the same group of does almost daily, had a 10 point run into my yard and my dogs went nuts and scared him off(almost got hit by a car) , shot at a nice buck a couple weeks back...he was slowly walking behind a doe ( but missed after arrow deflected off a friggin limb ) , missed a chocolate horn 8 again hitting a branch , shot a doe upstate.......arrow half in and out through both sides.............couldn;t find her..........WTF !

shot a gun doe upstate, but the question that I have is WHERE IS THE RUT ?

Been really warm. Anyone think that the rut will be delayed a bit till cold snap or are we just out of luck ?
thanks
