That condensation can be a real problem. Tom.

with how my weather has been in my area. cool in the early mornings then warming up to 50 to 65 right after the sun comes up. any moisture in the barrel or the plastic, it will green house. I'll rethink it. I just hate having anything sticky on my barrel, just as much as i hate having rust and wet powder.

Just trying to give you some good advice. I have Hunted with Temps at or below Freezing, brought My ML back into My Warm Truck, back Home and back into My Warm Truck and then back out into Snow and Freezing Cold and repeted this for up to a week sometime's, Never Had a Problem with the ML Firing, and I've Never had Rust or Wet Powder after Hunting in the Pouring Rain either.
There's Nothing Sticky on Your Barrel, after the shot there's only a small Piece if Masking Tape around the end of the Muzzle and it Peels right off, whatever is left wipes off.
And this Advice comes from a Northerner who Hunts as Hard as anyone each and every day of the Season in Extreme Cold and Snow, not anything like VA. And I dont mean that in a Bad way either.
Best of Luck to You!
