Between a couple of buddies and myself we have killed 35 or so with ShockWaves with no problems when hit properly...With all bullets if I don't want to track or the deer is near thick, nasty stuff, I take a high shoulder and drop them...ShockWaves do this very well...

That being said, I have switched to the .429 Hornady XTPs in 300 gr just to try something else...My gun likes them and they seem to be working as well...As mentioned, bought in bulk it's also cheaper...

I've got a box of the 240s I picked up on sale last year, should get to them in a couple of years...

I have taken 4 deer with Shockwave bullets.
Which Shockwave bullet? What color was the plastic tip?

what about blue? Hornaday's are red.Tc's are yellow and blue.

I believe the blue tips are bonded, and the red andyellow are interlock

I have shot approximatly a dozen deer with the 250 gr shockwaves and they have all died within 1 to a 100 yds. Shot location is the simple answer, if the bullet is not in the vitals it doesnt matter what you shoot them with. Just my 2 cents.

Please re read my post.Shot placement was not an issue. All 4 deer were hit in the vitals, and all 4 recovered.2 bullets expanded, and 2 did not.
