That was my thought that my bow shoots a ~315gr projectile at ~300fps so a 223gr projectile at no less than 800fps should be able to do the trick. A neck shot would drop the animal in its tracks.

Arrows and bullets kill in a different way. An arrow kills by bleeding out the animal. It just has to cut through.

The same velocity an arrow has in a bullet would be a bad killer.

They also sell 30gr Pyro Pellets, I'd do a 50 and a 30. 80grs does'nt have that much recoil at all. My Wife is only 5'2" and 110lbs, one year I had Her set up with that 80gr Load and She shot it just fine.
I'd feel much better with 80gr's vs 50grs even at shots 50yds and under, remember anything can happen especially if the shot is'nt a perfect one.

The point is, at 50 yards that load put in the vitals is going to kill...period. I don't even see how this is being debated right now.

The same way you know everything about .45 calibers. Oh and my father in law used to use around 60 grains I believe...didn't figure it was much difference.

It's a small game load with a lousy bullet.

A 223gr PB is barely more than a .54 round ball. Nobody hunts for deer with 50 gr with a PRB, and the PRB has way better terminal performance than that PB. It's a target load.

You're showing how little you know. (again)

Sorry I don't sound as knowledgeable as you but I refuse to quote everything I see on the internet and pass it off like I actually done it or saw it with my own eyes. I use real experience or something that I saw while I was there and not use wakemans words or anyone elses.
